A customer approached us about having a mantel made over their fireplace to protect their big screen tv from its heat. We were only too happy to oblige. This mantel is made of poplar, mounted sturdily into wall studs with steel pipes, calked into place, stained and finished to match the motif of the living room. It looks like it was meant to be there because it was. This mantel was exactly what this living room needed. It is just the right mixture of simple elegance and functionality. That’s the Krafka Kraft way.

This shaker style extension table was made from locally sourced white oak. By going through the design process with our customer we decided to stain the top dark walnut to contrast with the naturally finished base. The two 20 inch leaves store securely under the table top in a cradle designed especially for them. Latches under each of the table sections hold the table together for peace of mind and mobility. My favorite addition is a carefully concealed ball caster that was incorporated into the foot of the 5th leg support to allow freedom of moment when opening, closing, and moving this classic looking extension table.

Recently we had a predicament. Our Dog is a runner. Given any chance to escape, she will run for days. We haven’t had our dog chipped and were looking at different places to get name tags. We didn’t have any luck finding name tags around town, but then we got the bright idea to make our own. As a nod to our business logo we made them in the shape of the bow tie inlay. We made them out of hard Iowa Walnut and engraved her name and address on two different bow ties then sewed them onto her gorgeously hand made by VeryVintage The Royals Dog Collar. We love how dapper they turned out. That is one chic looking dog, and now everyone will know her name…. at least hopefully they’ll notice it the next time she runs away.

These live edge shelves are made from 2″ thick native Iowa Walnut. Two are floating above the bar area, supported with steel tubes embeded 4″ into wall studs and 6″ into the Walnut shelves. The 12′ long shelf is supported by 5 beautifully custom made solid steel brackets from Industrial Farm Co painted flat black. These shelves are elegant in there simplicity and built/finished to last.
