We made these Piggy Bank Boxes with the intent that they would become heirloom pieces for a customer’s grandchild. With that in mind, they couldn’t be just any kind of box. We used Cherry and Walnut hardwoods exclusively, which contrast each other exquisitely. We used dovetail joinery, not only for strength, but for its exceptionally distinguished style.

Dovetail joinery is one of the oldest and strongest joint techniques in woodworking. It requires no fasteners, as it resists being pulled apart simply by design and workmanship. They are hard to implement, but their attributes are incomparable.

We made these twin benches to match an existing table our customers had. The bench tops are made from dark walnut while the legs are made from barn wood beams, giving them a rustic look that compliments their existing table and decor. The grain of the bench tops has a unique and appealing quality, which contributes a lot to the bench’s character. These benches were built for allure, use, and longevity as is the Krafka Kraft way.
