A brand isn’t truly a brand until you are personally willing to chisel it out of steel, engulf it in flame, and burn it into your work. A brand is not a brand until you are willing to pour your heart, soul, and livelihood into it. That’s what “making a brand” means to Jeanette and I, and that’s what went into designing our new logo and forging this new branding iron. We are proud to mark our products with it and to continue our personal tradition of excellence.
These walnut charcuterie boards were made personally and hand phyrographed for a client looking for customized gifts for family members. These boards were a delight to make and are a rather inexpensive way to shop and gift locally. They are perfect for presenting gourmet meats and cheeses the next time you host a gathering and run a reasonable $30 a piece.

This medicine cabinet is a bespoke work of art. The customers had a built in medicine cabinet that came with their mid-century home, and they wanted it replaced with something more sleek and modern to match their new vanity. Pre-made medicine cabinets that would fit within the allotted dimensions of their previous cabinet proved hard to come by, so they came to Krafka Kraft and we helped them design and create a cabinet that would work best for their space. We decided on a large mirror to help create the illusion of a larger space and framed it with classic gray stained white oak to tie together the vanity and the mirror. The cabinet and shelves are made of white oak and the shelves are stained a classic gray to match the mirror and the vanity. This mirror completes the quaint yet modern style of their bathroom.
This exquisite drop-top walnut table was designed for a customer who recently bought a small apartment, but hoped to be able to occasionally host gatherings. To do so the customer needed a small table for day to day use that could convert into a large table when such occasions arose. The caveat was making such a table that didn’t involve storing large wood leaves. The drop-top was the perfect concept. This table was custom made to comfortably fit the dimensions of the apartment in both the folded and extended positions.
This exceptional piece of artwork was created with locally sourced walnut from the customer’s family farm and naturally finished with satin polyurethane.
How The Table Works
Both ends fold on hinges.
Two end legs slide out to support the extensions when they are folded out.
The end legs slide in and the extensions fold down for use as a smaller table.
Almost immediately after making the walnut sofa table for this customer, her and her husband decided they wanted an end table in their living room replaced. They liked the design of their current end table, but wanted it made to better fit the dimensions of their sofa. They also wanted the end table made of more lasting material than the composite board their current table was made of.
We discussed design options with them, went over materials, stains, and came to the consensus that durable white oak stained a dark ebony would best suit their needs and the ambiance of their living room.
This piece features true through dovetail joints that not only lend to an incredibly durable joint, they add an artistic flair to an otherwise very sleek, contemporary design.
This piece is a perfect example of what custom means to Krafka Kraft. While milling and planing wood for a project, occasionally a woodworker gets a pleasant surprise. Such was the case with this stunning sofa table top. Years ago a couple of walnuts fell between the trunk and a branch of a walnut tree. Over time the bark grew around the walnuts. Unaware of their existence, a fortuitous cut was made, revealing the transverse section of two walnuts within this beautiful slab of wood.
The bark that encased the walnuts was unstable and threatened to fall out, but in my opinion they radically enhanced the piece, so it became necessary to stabilize the section by filling it with epoxy. In doing so, we were able to preserve this ornately unique quality while maintaining stability and functionality.
Upon finishing one of the shelves, a crack became apparent, and though currently miniscule, over time and through the changing of seasons, without modification it would likely grow and split the board. The issue was remedied by placing two white oak butterflies along the crack, practically sealing it shut, and simultaneously adding a fashionable flare to the piece.
This steel framed walnut sofa table was bespoke to fit the dimensions of the sofa and to incorporate natural beauty while preserving the sleek allure of the living room arrangement.
