We made four sets of numbers for bell tower clock faces at St. Mary’s in Riverside. We used a treated bamboo and oil based paint to ensure they would endure Iowa weather.

These unfinished barn beam benches are perfect for rustic, outdoor, decor. They would make for an ideal seat to take in a scenic overlook or to put around a fire pit. They are elegant, simplistic, and notably eco-friendly.

We were extremely honored to design this memorial keepsake toolbox for our beloved grandpa, Larry Sovereign. Larry loved a good toolbox and had accumulated quite a collection throughout his lifetime, so it was only appropriate to design his memorial keepsake box as one.

This personalized and engraved memorial toolbox is made of walnut and cherry, the sides are joined using a stylized box joint and the walnut picture frame lid is fixed and secured in place magnetically.

This table was created and designed to store a Great Dane kennel underneath of it. The top is walnut stained poplar and the base is a welded steel frame. As you can see, the kennel fit perfectly. Now the puppy just has to grow into it.

We made these Piggy Bank Boxes with the intent that they would become heirloom pieces for a customer’s grandchild. With that in mind, they couldn’t be just any kind of box. We used Cherry and Walnut hardwoods exclusively, which contrast each other exquisitely. We used dovetail joinery, not only for strength, but for its exceptionally distinguished style.

Dovetail joinery is one of the oldest and strongest joint techniques in woodworking. It requires no fasteners, as it resists being pulled apart simply by design and workmanship. They are hard to implement, but their attributes are incomparable.

We made these twin benches to match an existing table our customers had. The bench tops are made from dark walnut while the legs are made from barn wood beams, giving them a rustic look that compliments their existing table and decor. The grain of the bench tops has a unique and appealing quality, which contributes a lot to the bench’s character. These benches were built for allure, use, and longevity as is the Krafka Kraft way.

These walnut accented, hand finished toy barns are the perfect accessory to any household. They function not only as a utilitarian child’s toy, but also as a household decorative ornament. Functional, elegant design is the Krafka Kraft trademark.

Krafka Kraft is still in business. We are a small, local business and our success depends on your patronage. We are taking social distancing and recommendations from the CDC very seriously. Thankfully that doesn’t mean much change for our business as the business consists of just Ryan and Jeanette Roush-Krafka. We work in solitude from our shop and office, we take orders online and we deliver our products directly to our customers. A client came to us wanting a locally made toy barn for her grandchildren similar to the one her children played with as kids. We were really enthusiastic about making these barns. We took some artistic liberties and built them to last. These barns are made of ply wood with walnut accents. They are hand painted with classic barn colors, John Deere green for the roof, international red for the sides and white interior and accents. We hope these barns give joy to the children who play with them now and for generations to come.

Many People have TVs over their fireplaces, but don’t realize the potential harm of overheating the TV and its components. The ideal operating temperature of TVs today are between 50-104oF. Temperatures outside this range will negatively affect the operation of your TV.

A simple and elegant way to mitigate this threat of heat is to install an appropriate sized mantel to act as a buffer between the Fireplace and TV. Acting like a shield, the mantel eliminates radiant heat from the fireplace altogether. While effectively redirecting convective heat out and away from the TV.

This is the second heat buffering mantel we have installed this year for customers. What a difference it has made to fireplace room aesthetics and the well-being of one of the most important appliances in the house.
